Victorian Vegetable Production 2009

The total value of vegetable production in Victoria is approximately $652 million (ABS Survey, 2009).

This production is obtained from almost 28 thousand hectares and 1,619 properties.

The five commodities producing the greatest value in Victoria are:

• mushrooms
• tomatoes
• broccoli
• lettuces and
• potatoes

A range of other vegetables contribute significantly to the value of production with detailed data provided in the attached 2 page factsheet (pdf 195kb).
