ChemClear Collection

Updated: 03/09/2010

ChemClear have announced a collection across Victoria in October 2010

We encourage chemical users to take advantage of this opportunity to clear out your chemical stores.

Making smart chemical disposal choices is an important way to manage chemical risks to your businesses.

Chemical users can dispose of any surplus, unwanted, unlabelled, mixed or out of date ag and vet chemicals through the ChemClear program.

ChemClear

Since the programs inception in 2004, ChemClear has undertaken over fifteen regional collections across Victoria

The ChemClear program uses Local Council sites to collect from waste holders who have registered their chemicals for retrieval.

The collection process is quick and easy and waste holders are given an appointment time to meet the retrieval team to drop of their registered chemicals for disposal.

ChemClear

ChemClear has been established to collect currently registered chemicals produced by manufacturers supporting the Industry Waste Reduction Scheme.

These chemicals are classified as Group 1 and as such collected free of charge.

As an additional service ChemClear collects what are classified as Group 2 chemicals.

Group 2 ag chemicals include de-registered products, out of date by up to two years, mixed, unlabelled, unknown, or produced by a manufacturer not contributing to the stewardship program.

There is a cost for disposal of Group 2 products which is quoted to the waste holder once their registration has been processed.

Register for the October 2010 collection
before 3rd September 2010.

Register at 1800 008 182 or visit www.chemclear.com.au.
