Grower Organisations

Many grower based state and regional farmer groups were formed in the early 1900's to assist farmers in their causes and find solutions to the issues they faced.

Grower organisations in each state all share a common purpose; to promote the vegetable industry, represent growers concerns with bureaucracy and the contribute to the development of government policy on issues such as labour, crop protection and technology.

These organisations provide many benefits to growers, including:

  • Leadership in government relations, issues management, and media advocacy
  • Leadership in food safety/quality assurance/R&D/nutrition and health
  • Focus on innovation/business growth by increasing sales and profitability
